Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 10, 2018 11:41 pm Hi, Question in regards to dividing fence. We have just finished building in QLD. We have just finished our boundary fence with our neighbors. They have build their garage to zero boundary about 200mm from actual boundary. We have build the fence from the end of there garage wall meaning it is now apart of the boundary fence. Local and state laws say is sufficient as the space between his garage and the boundary is dead space as it unusable due to minimal access. The neighbor has now asked for the fence to continue as he wants to access this space ( don’t know how they will fit down the 150-200mm gap) My question is as we have already established a suitable and satisfactory boundary fence should the neighbor cover the complete costs of this addition? Re: Boundary fence QLD 2Jan 12, 2018 6:30 pm Why not just do it - if they pay half. They are probably trying to show some "muscle" - we have a similar d-head next door. They will be the only ones hurt by it - and it will not cost you much. Half of 6-7 metres of Color-bond fencing. Maybe they want to put something there - eg spare piping etc. BUT - will prevent them inspecting the brick line - eg for termites/white ants etc. thanks Chippy, i hope they have applied sealer but i am doubt to be honest, so i am gonna do this job after handover. 8 11934 You should be able to encase the sewer but you will need it designed and approved and access to lot 580 to do the work 2 12688 In WA zero lot is actually zero lot. We build 10mm in from the boundary. My house and my neighbours house have garages that sit only 20mm apart. When I had our roof done… 3 5516 |
