I own a newly built home in Vic.
My builder poured concrete paving around entire perimeter of my house after the termite chemical spray was done about 3 weeks prior. No physical barrier at slab edge, just pesticide spray.
The concrete paving has been poured 1 brick course above the slab edge which means no visual inspection of slab edge is possible. Plus, concrete paving is too close to weep hole base/ Damp proof course - which is a whole other ongoing saga.
I am certain they have breached my termite warranty by doing this and disturbing the chemical sprayed on soil. Surely termites can enter at slab edge now as it is below my concrete paths now?
Has anyone had a termite inspector come out and advise in regards to this?
I have looked up in http://www.tri4pestcontrol.com.au and found my area is in a declared termite area.
