Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 12, 2017 8:13 pm Hi Just wondering can a builder claim delay inclement weather if no work was getting done to the property durning the period ..,? In fact we were awaiting to hear from them to how they were now going to rectify the issue for the second time and they failed with their first attempt to fix issue Thanks Re: Inclement weather delay claim 3Jun 29, 2018 7:43 am Read your contract, there is already allowance for inclement weather. Builder would have to prove that inclement weather was greater than allowed in the contract and that it caused delays. It would be difficult to prove delay if no one was on site. You have a right to dispute extension of time claims and if I was you I would do it.
