Our house is almost finish with henley, had final inspection but few defects needs to be rectify. Anway, need to add on alfresco. Spoke to henley but they won't do it cos it wasn't added on from the beginning. Got a few quotes from other Co. similar to apollo and stratco design with colorbond for 6 metre wide to 5 metre out $5000 to $7500. Was told henley has two alfresco size range from $5500 to $10500. Does anyone know a builder who can build alfresco similar to henley, port davies design? Re: Adding on a Alfresco 2Aug 31, 2008 8:43 am Hi zergling, welcome here.
I don't blame henley for not wanting to build a pergola for you now. They are about to hand over the house to you, the last thing they want to do now is to organise materials and labour for a job that they are about to wash their hands of. It is far too late to have it added to the contract. If you wanted to have it constructed outside of the contract, a volume home building company like you are using won't do post-handover add-ons! Any competent after market builder should be able to custom build your pergola for you, to whatever design you want. Geoff - Decophile.
