You tube shows some parcel drop off cabinets (Google using similar terms) but most are suitable for small boxes only. I like your idea in 3. Having a changeable code would allow the driver to access a weatherproof storage space that would lock when closed. The front side may also have to be 'raiseable' or 'lowerable' for ergonomics. The code used would be given to the retailer and the instructions written on the parcel. A nice custom unit would be money well spent and the drivers would also save time by not having to knock on the door first. Better to support your local business, or if this is not important to you, hope you don't loose employment when everyone does the same thing and purchase from anywhere but their own backyard.
