This would also include the internal house plugs, but doesn’t include the hardware you require to actually connect You will most likely have a conduit with cables coming up from the ground below your power box. You (or the builder) have to contact NBN Co to arrange for the actual fit out of the internal and external hub, and that costs extra, with money for that going to NBN co. You then contact a service provider to arrange actualconnectivity. The amount you paid may have included the cost for thre NBN co I still, but it’s unlikely in my experience as apparently NBN ready usually just means the cables so that it doesn’t need to be dug by the NBN installer later Re: Help is my house missing NBN hub ???? needing help 4Nov 22, 2017 6:21 am Hi, my builder gave me a list of things I need to organise once handover happen and one is NBN connection. So I guess you paid for the hub and some extra NBN points but no the connection. I hope it helps. Check the type of NBN conx that your house is ready for. For a diagramatic representation of that visit http://www.optus.com.au/shop/broadband/nbn/install-nbn Depending upon the type FTTP or FTTN or FFTB etc, the nature and extent of cabling to be done by you and by others (builder or NBN) can be determined. Re: Help is my house missing NBN hub ???? needing help 6Nov 22, 2017 2:05 pm I had the same issue recently, the builders are installing one conduit and for that they charge $500 to $1000 it was in the days where NBN roll out was not complete and every connection ordered during that phase was free, now you will have to pay $300 which you will pay to ISP (telstra, optus ) and they will pay to NBN. The builders are actually scamming customers over this charge which was required in past and is not required now but nobody is questioning them thats the biggest rort. Long story short ring Telstra or preffered internet provider they will give you a time and date that NBN tech will come to your house install the 2 devices one outside near electricity meter PCD and one in the garage wall NTD once installed ISP will immediately connect you to internet. Re: Help is my house missing NBN hub ???? needing help 7Nov 22, 2017 3:08 pm My NBN was free from builder. Included hub in garage and conduit from garage to lounge. After move in, went with iinet. They sent technician to hook nbn to house, was free as part of joining offer but had to pay $300 new house nbn levy for vic. To my understanding early saw cuts are to control shrinkage cracks, so doing them now would be pointless. Control joints may reduce ugly cracking during periods of soil… 3 9862 Hey guys building a new place through a volume builder and just wondering if i should complain to the site supervisor as we just had plasterboard installed. Looks like… 0 11273 Yes, the builder is required to finish the wall. What else have you missed? 1 3361 |
