Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 27, 2008 10:58 pm Hello,
After many failed attempts at trying to photoshop our front elevation I have decided to ask for help! I really want to get an idea of what our elevation will look like before we choose. So if anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it! roof tiles: bristile - Vienna 'graphite' garage: cedar look, same as in original photo render around garage, far left section & middle section where biggest window is: Solver 'parchment' or any very light cream colour similar to the display picture colour around garage render porch and section 2nd from left: Solver ' blackcurrent' OR just have the porch render as solver blackcurrent and the 2nd from left section with: austral bricks lite stone 'tiger sand' Wwindow frames: not sure but thinking about black or charcoal type front door: some sort of wood grain/cedar look Feel free to make any comments or suggestions! We are open to new ideas. This is the display elevation http://i538.photobucket.com/albums/ff346/zozzles23/elevation.jpg our elevation doesnt include the big ugly vertical post in the porch Big thanks to anyone who can help! zoe Re: Photoshop help pleeeease....I'm useless!! 4Aug 27, 2008 11:43 pm Welcome Zozzles!
Here's a plain version of it without the post - for comparison's sake. Well done d@n. the solver blackcurrant is similar to what the display had....just thinking of some sort of purple or deep brown type colour. we are thinking of the front door just being a solid woodlook door, no windows. and there is the top window on the far left section that would be black frames What does anyone think about making the 2nd section from left (in display is the gray brick section) the same colour as the porch?? or just make the porch the feature? any ideas what colour we should make the gutters? Re: Photoshop help pleeeease....I'm useless!! 7Aug 27, 2008 11:51 pm Sorry....is it wrong to like the post...in this style of facade I think it works... kinda balances the garage door color. mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: Photoshop help pleeeease....I'm useless!! 8Aug 27, 2008 11:58 pm hehe... you wouldn't be alone in the post loving.
We have had conflicing opinions.... there seems to be a love/hate relationship about it amongst our friends and family! But personally we didn't like it so decided to scrap it. Re: Photoshop help pleeeease....I'm useless!! 9Aug 28, 2008 12:00 am I don't like the post either. If you had a wooden side gate on opposite side from the garage it would balance the colour of the garage maybe? I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Cool....sometimes they work...and sometimes they look like a Goodyear Shop....in this case to me it worked. mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: Photoshop help pleeeease....I'm useless!! 12Aug 31, 2008 8:40 pm hey zoe we are having vienna graphite roof tiles as well.
Have you seen any roofs in it at all? We grabbed a sample tile, from home expo, and when we got it outside it looked like it was a really dark brown in the sun, other times it looks like it is black, or a really dark grey, depending on the light, but that was just one tile and not a whole roof, (looks different to website picture thats for sure!!). Makes it a bit hard to choose fascia/gutter colours when the tile looks like it changes. We got the address for a house near us to see the roof, but when we went to see it, it was raining, and the house is behind another house...so still didn't get an indictation of the true colour. Oh well. Anyways for our gutter/fascia we are going with burnished copper from solver.... not sure what it will look like once its put together, but its too late to change now. Where abouts in perth are you building? Re: Photoshop help pleeeease....I'm useless!! 13Sep 14, 2008 8:21 pm Well, we haven't officially seen the tiles, but there are several new homes near us that we are positive look like they are them! but we originally got the idea when we were upstairs in our house and looked out the window at the neighbours tiles and both agreed that we liked them! we like the flatter look they have.
We will be building south of perth in a new suburb called piara waters (formerly part of forestdale) Hi there, long-time lurker but first time posting. I've bought a house 2 and a bit years ago and last year we had some major water damage on a converted pergola area… 0 7925 Yes, unless you are in a low intensity rainfall area or the area is protected from rain. Do you have access to NCC Part 2 or can you download it? I can email you a copy… 10 12462 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7143 |
