Like many other member of homeone forum, we've been stalking and lurking other people's posts for quite some time
Finally we have the opportunity (and privilege) to build for the 3rd time. We decided to go with Easystart, (mainly because of their cashback promotion).
We couldn't find a floorplan off their 'shelf' that really fits the block (a trapezium shape corner block) and our budget, so we came up with a design, drew it ourselves, and get Eaststart to cost it. It came back cheaper than their proposed floorplan...woohoo...
We signed the PPA back in July. We waited quite awhile for them to issue the building contract. In addition to that, the sales rep left the company and we were left in the dark.
I took the initiative to request for finance extension to the developer, lucky I did, because the building contract was issued a week after the initial finance deadline.
So we finally got the building contract and point of contact at Easystart, but it doesn't end there.
Just after we submit the building contract to the bank for finance approval, the loan manager went for maternity leave, and her replacement isn't as good as her plus the bank valuation took longer than normal.
So I requested another finance extension to the developer, twice.
Anyways, enough with the bad news, now the bank is working on for the unconditional approval, and we just went to prestart early this week. We're now anxiously waiting for the quotes from them.
We'll upload our final selections once we get the quotation from Easystart.
