You should be able to remove those bricks without any structural issues
You'll need an angle grinder with a masonry disc, a long masonry drill bit, Plugging chisel and club hammer

Your welcome, I suggest you also prop the archs if you are going to be working beneath it..safety always first!
Remove/Replace/Dry grout Pack one brick at a time (25% of the support only) , starting from the bottom..also check for cracks HTH
