Second, third, fourth opinions needed please. The house we're building has "Cabots chestnut exterior varnish stain" applied to windowframes and doors. Renderings are provided in the top image - it's quite light in colour - almost maple(ish). The bottom image is what they've delivered. Not happy. We have complained. Here is the explanation from none other than the Dulux colour consultant (who I think is colour blind): The product only comes with a teak tint base, hence the dark colour. They maintain that the correct colour has been applied. We maintain they've screwed up monumentally (notice the shocking mismatch with the metal garage door)... Does anyone have any experience with this colour or product? Is the colour consultant telling the truth or is he trying to cover up for someone who has simply stuffed up and used the wrong colour? Off the bat, "Chestnut" should not be practically ebony... Thanks in advance. Appreciate your time. GMD Re: Cabots chestnut exterior varnish stain 2Sep 26, 2017 1:58 pm Try talking to some paint shops that sell the product and see what they say. Assuming that they are on your side (I'd be shocked if they weren't, seems very wrong to me), I'd try and find another contact at Dulux and see if you can get them to admit it's not correct. Good luck! Hi, planning on using the attached stone pieces in my bathroom. I want to remove stains and gloss seal. Can I get some advice on best way to remove stains and best… 0 6709 The most definitive answer to your question James is this taken from the James Hardie Axon Cladding Installation Guide - i just happen to have it… 5 3673 |
