Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 14, 2017 4:29 pm Hi,
I completed my home thru ***, they have to pay me around 2k after the final settlement. The building supervisor told me he will investigate and pay the difference. It's almost year and half, i can't get the money back from them. Is there any legal action I can take against the builder? Please advice how to proceed further? Thanks for the advice in advance.
Re: Legal action against builder 2Aug 15, 2017 2:26 pm I believe all disputes have to go to the DPDRV in Victoria (Compulsory Conciliation). Here the dispute will be conciliated fairly... hopefully. Should either party disagree with the decision however, the party or parties can appeal in VCAT. You (or the pressure from the DPDRV) still have to get the money from the builder of course. Good luck DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair I'm in WA and our sandy soils make drainage a bit easier but this is what I'd be doing. Dig down to your footings and let the wall dry out. Clean it all well by brushing… 1 5180 6 4324 |
