Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jun 19, 2017 9:31 pm been working hard on a pretty much "no cash budget" to remodel & renovate the kids bedroom into something amazing & fun. Plans have gone to s**t & are out the window as my visions exceed well beyond the reality & minimum space that i have - (i had too many things that i wanted to incorporate in this structure but the reality of it is its not going to all fit- jeez,im having trouble just finding now where to fit & place anything & everything. There's 2 kids, 1 boy aged 6 & 1 girl aged 5,that are my grandkids whom now live with me.theyve had a real hard & crap life til now so wana give them something really special.they have the master bedroom which measures 4100x3600 & originally, all he wanted was a fort that he could shoot his nerf guns off of -at something??- & with an artillary area to display & house his many many many nerf guns & she was going to have a princess/castle bed.now after buying a few loft beds, as kids were going to sleep up top & play underneath& then a few bunk beds,as was safer & more easier if kids slept down bottom & played up top b4 realizing it was alot of effort for not much extra play space,so were then going to incorporate top bunks into structural supports for a walkway /play area that went all the way around the top of the room but then gave that idea away & have just made it a freestanding structure out of timber supports & mdf boards for the flooring instead.now long the 4100 wall the overhead walkway/area comes out at a width of 1mt & houses 2x single beds underneath it ,toe to toe,& on the other 2x3600 walls the width is 750., which leaves the same amount of space underneath(as the front exterior will be cladded in more mdf boards, from floor to cieling & decorated to look like a castle.NOW..my pressing problem is ... i still need to reconstruct a waredrobe in there somewhere for all of their clothes,a desk for homework etc (which i have seen like a picnic table & bench seat set up that fold up & are hinged onto the wall & that actually looks like something that i could make resemble a castle window), a slide,i have had to swap the swing idea for a firemans pole,i must house all the nerf guns on a pegboard type set up he wanted, so where exactly am i going to position all of these things in this structure ??? i am stuck. can somebody please help me pretty please???
