Main floor tiles half done. Wet area tiles half done. Painting half done. Carpet half done. Woodwork (see balcony) half done. The list goes on. I would rather each item be completed before moving on to the next thing because half finished things frustrate the hell out of me. Anybody else noticed the same thing??? Having said that, it is getting there and slowly coming together. Pictures attached but bear in mind nothing is completed in each photo. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Aerial shot.. Coming back to do things costs trades extra money...nor do they want to take responsibility for finishing things off when the previous trade may have done a $h!t job? LOL the aerial shot looks great (but building so close to the ocean has its pitfalls) the money shot for most clients are the engineering/construction progress/details... if you get my gist... because that's the photos you wish you had when things start going terribly wrong.I also notice they used leveling spaces on the floor was your slab level... just curious? Yeh i hear you about the trades, but in my case it's a combination of what you said, plus the SS ordering the next trade before the others have finished. For example, the tiler is hard at work and then another trade turns up so he packs up his stuff and leaves. He made it clear to the SS that he doesn't want other trades there while he is working. Fair enough I think. Yeh. The close proximity to the ocean meant all building materials were upgraded to marine quality and roofing is ultra marine. The slab was level. It was actually one of the best I've seen. But during the tile selection process I was obviously unaware of how the slab would turn out. I was adament that I wanted the floor tiles perfect and like a mirror. That's why I paid for the snaplock system. As an engineer/contractor that does structural repairs I can't stress enough how important it is to inspect, take photos & have them properly checked beforehand.
