Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 29, 2017 9:21 pm Hi Just wonder if someone have a similar situation about easement details. Rang council and told there is stormwater pipe within easement but do not have detail info about it such as pipe size , depth. Checked with dial befor dig, melb water said no assets. As per Yarra water, only shows end of land has proposed title for sewer pipe, nothing shows on side where easement shows on diagram of land plan as dotted line "E1". Had a look at kerb, a concrete pit but no gap on kerb. Just wonder where to find details of that pipe if exists. Here is the pit. https://www.dropbox.com/s/updc1aa9da85k1j/IMG_4965.PNG?dl=0 water plan here https://www.dropbox.com/s/rsxqpnd9kchl3sv/water%20plan.bmp?dl=0 Re: Easement Info stormwater 2Jun 09, 2017 8:22 pm Our council tried to tell us we had stormwater drainage in our easement, even though we knew for a fact there wasn't (based on next door neighbour's conversation with council a few years prior). We even dug down to prove it. We had to get connected to stormwater at a cost of over $10,000 Re: Easement Info stormwater 3Jun 10, 2017 8:23 pm Stormwater drainage in Victoria is the local councils responsibility, not the water authority. Having dealt with many councils over the years I would say I have yet to find one that has good records. The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get ! Re: Easement Info stormwater 4Jun 13, 2017 3:36 pm An easement in Qld has a survey plan lodged with it at time of registration. Has to be the same in Vic. - Do a search at VIC Lands Dept (or whatever it is called) . The plan should show the location of the pipe. You should be able to encase the sewer but you will need it designed and approved and access to lot 580 to do the work 2 17108 You might be able to apply to divert the sewer at your expense. In NSW you would contact a Water services co-ordinator and they would give you advice as to whether or not… 1 16104 Thanks - yea sounds like I need to submit build over easement application....ugh guess I better start finding someone who can do the engineering drawings 3 3321 |
