Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 15, 2017 4:40 pm After the neighbour cemented the side of their house (use to be tiny pebbles), my garage is now getting flooded when it rains. They have cemented to the edge of my garage and from what I can see there doesn't seem to be any drainage in place as I can see dirt and plant matter collected up against my garage wall. Water ponds there after it has rained and is going into my once dry garage. What can I do, to stop the flooding to my garage? Re: Garage flooding after neighbour put in concrete 2May 15, 2017 8:43 pm Your not allowed to direct water runoff onto some one elses property, they have to fix this, seek advice from your local council as some sort of drainage directing water away from your property should of been put in. Re: Garage flooding after neighbour put in concrete 3May 16, 2017 3:30 pm Presumably your garage is zero boundary ? Agree with Joker. The bottom of the downpipe has been taped (see the black tape) to seal the necessary gap between the downpipe and the adaptor that would normally prevent the downpipe… 3 9193 Until you find the cause of the flooding you need to take action to mitigate potential damage to your home. Get automatic float pump and dig a pit then connect to power… 2 4845 The concreter will take and reuse. In my case I bought structural LVLs and scraped them back and used them as joists. 1 5150 |
