Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 16, 2008 9:45 am With only a few weeks till we move into marriott waters my husband & i were discussing what our fast food / take out options are going to be... We are thinking we might drive down one night & sample some...
So my question is, does anyone live in the area already & has had a head start on the tasting front... What shops do you recommend???? Pizza, Fish & chips & Thai are important to our house hold on the weekends.. Has anyone tried the ready roast shop (i have driven past it), it sounds good... but... if the veggies are not crisp.. not happy jan... nesspop Why am I covered in feathers Re: Marriott Waters, good local take out food 3Aug 20, 2008 8:41 pm A smart move to ask nesspop. I wish we'd asked before we bought take away from the local Chinese here. It seems everyone only does it once. then they know better. Trouble is we learnt for ourselves before we knew anyone to ask. arghh..
HAve heard the same story from everyone we've talked to in town now. Luckily we've also been pointed in the right direction for nice takeout. Shame it's 30 mins drive away. Had today off work and we went for a 30 min drive at lunchtime yum Good luck with your query. Re: Marriott Waters, good local take out food 4Aug 21, 2008 7:41 am You cant leave me hanging like that
kexkez~ Is this lovely establishment near marriott Waters.. Would hate to order sh*ty chinese food.. nesspop Why am I covered in feathers Re: Marriott Waters, good local take out food 5Aug 21, 2008 7:47 am Hi nesspop,
We moved into our place in Melington Estate (next door to you guys) in June last year. It is a great area but a pain in the rear end to get to any shops!!! However, the only good take away places we have found so far are: - Pizza: Casey Pizza & Pasta - it's next to the KFC on the South Gippy Highway ... just down from Lynbrook shops - Noodles: Noodle Box in Lynbrook Village is great - Weekend breakfast, lunch or dinner: The Eating House, Lynbrook Village. Has some really great food. Unfortunately we love Thai, Indian & Chinese as well and haven't found anything decent in the area. In saying that, we generally don't go into Cranbourne so there may be something there. Good luck on the move .. has been awesome watching your estate come alive in the last 6 months or so. Re: Marriott Waters, good local take out food 6Aug 21, 2008 7:48 am Oh Dear No nesspop sorry its no anywhere near you.
Hopefully someone will be able to help you who lives near your new build. I just meant it is well worth asking. i would hate anyone to fall into the same trap we fell into where we moved to. Re: Marriott Waters, good local take out food 7Aug 21, 2008 2:35 pm kexkez~ oh thank the man above. Just didnt want to find the chinese store you were talking about..
Amber ~ thanks, we havent actually been to the Lynbrook shops / village as yet.. It's actually licensed and it has the biggest fricking kebabs I've ever seen, they offer full ones and half ones due to the size. I normally get chicken, cheese and satay sauce, it's awesome! Hogs Breath Cafe on Princes Hwy in Hallam is pretty good. There might be a few places in and around Fountain Gate, can't remember off hand though. The benefit is you can tender the project out… 9 20417 4 14297 Unless there is something in special conditions the builder does not have to give you timeline.
