Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Mar 17, 2017 1:44 pm Hi, I'm looking for a first hand experience referral for a renovation in West Brunswick for my parents house which is a small semi-detached single story cottage. It's largely alterations for accessibility reasons as Dad has motor neurone disease and will be wheelchair bound at some point and Mum uses a walker to get around pretty much everywhere. Ideally it would be a full service builder (not someone who has to bring in a bunch of subbies for different jobs) so we stand a better chance of having the job done very efficiently and minimising disruption for them. I'm pretty sure the job will involve a concrete ramp for wheelchair access, installation of a wide access door where there is an existing window, widening of doorways inside the house and possibly a significant overhaul of their bathroom and toilet facilities. I'm in Brisbane but will be down there next Thursday, Friday and Saturday (23rd to 25th of March) and would ideally like to meet with a builder or two to discuss it on site, so if anyone has any suggestions I'd really appreciate it. Cheers, Bill.
