Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 27, 2017 2:44 pm Hi All, Just wondering if you can suggest someone who does good roofing repairs. I have an old terracotta roof and it leaks in the winter time. Five years ago when I moved into the house I got a well known roofing company to fix the roof. I paid a lot of money. When winter came, the leaks came back. I called the company many times for 3 years but they would never come out to cover the warranty. I was persistent but there was always some excuse. So I got up on the roof and managed to fix some of the leaks myself. So last year I got someone else to fix the leaks. So I checked references, called the guy, explained that I wanted a good job just to fix the leaks. So they did the whole roof and charged a lot of money as well. I then got my ceiling painted where the roof had been leaking. 2 weeks later, the leaks come back again all over my new painted roof. I called and the guy came around to check the roof, said it was all fixed, but then more leaks appeared. I called and called, this guy is now missing in action. So at this stage I have one bad leak in the front of my house. We've had a third guy around to look at the roof just to look at the leak. He trashed the second guys work, and gave a quote to fix the whole roof. We asked him just to look at the leak, but he for some reason wouldn't. I got up and had a look and think don't think the second guys work is that bad. So I'm not having the best of luck with roofing repairs, but I wanted to know if anyone has a good roofing guy? Its for a single storey house with old terracotta tiles and I think the fix would easily be done in a day. Thanks for any suggestions.
