Timeframes can differ between states and builders, but from the builders I've spoken to here in SA it averages about 5 months from paying the deposit til site start. Council approval can make it longer if you end up stuck in council for 10 or 12 weeks (which is what they say to allow). Do you know who you will be building with? We don't need planning permit but do need council approval to build forward. Told about 4-5 months before build starts, but have heard things can take even longer! Thank you so much everyone.
