Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 01, 2017 3:07 pm Hi, We have been told by the builder to demolish the driveway to the curb, ie on the council land, as well as all our house etc. The demolition companies we are getting quotes from have reluctantly agreed they can do it. Maybe for the same price, maybe $400 extra, but they both say that they won't cover any liability if they rip up any cabling, or if a pedestrian falls in the hole. One said they would have to put down some aggregate to fill up the hole. So is there any way that liability can cover this anyway? Demolition won't cover, I am guessing builder won't, as they won't have started. I am guessing that our house and contents won't cover it? What is left? Any ideas!?!?
