Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 21, 2017 3:47 pm Hi there, We have an outdoor area about to be built. It has a brick wall of 230mm which is 2400mm long and nothing behind it except an eave. What would it take for our builder to install a fireplace into this wall assuming we have a fireplace ready to install? Would they have to build up behind the wall because it is so thin or just sit the box hanging out the wall behind? A real fire could be done very well. Access at rear to clean etc. Re: Installing a fireplace into a brick wall - Possible? 3Jan 22, 2017 2:04 pm i mean one of these http://www.scandiastoves.com.au/product ... -2/avante/ I use Tramex moisture meter and it will tell me instantly if the wall is cement sheet or plaster or masonite but most people dont have the equipment. 5 7086 Hi all, My first post, we are building a house and can’t decide the layout of the lounge room.
