Ignore independent building inspection at your peril!

Contractually you don't have many options and if you are on a standard contract you cannot withold stage payments even if there are defects.
This is why expertise is required with a bag of tricks to push right buttons to compel builder to do the right thing.
You won't get that with discount inspectors. You get what you pay for.
Do you think engaging a building surveyor from a local Council for this service would be a good move for a new home build?
Building surveyor will be good at statutory inspections and to check building compliance however there is a lot more
