Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Nov 22, 2016 7:01 pm Hi, I live in Sydney and I'm looking at properties in Hobart, Tasmania in the $500-600k range. Many of the new properties are rendered cement sheet construction with single-pitch colorbond roofs. They appear to be good quality, judging by the standard of the fixtures and fittings, but I'm not familiar with this construction. Is this a durable construction method ? I presume there must be some form of frame; is this likely to be steel ? I'm concerned about energy efficiency, so what questions do I need to ask about insulation ? Are there any online resources I can look at to educate myself a bit more ? Lastly, a question for any Hobart residents; is double glazing an important consideration ? Thanks for any guidance you can provide. Tony Button. Hi, Currently building, we are on a sloping block so we have from floor level to the roof in axon cladding.
