Easements - WHAT CAN YOU PUT ON ONE?

Hi,

We have an Easement on the back of our property, and we want to know what we can put it?
If you have an easement, what have you done with yours?
Any help would be appreciated!

I have a 3.6 m wide easement running across my property at the back fence.
Over the last 30 years it has had a chook pen,above ground swimming pool,
and a cubby house on stilts.It now has a tropical garden setting c/w pond and
a little what we call a river all be it pump driven.
The chances council want to come and dig it all up i'll take for the enjoyment
it has given us.

In Vic, you'd normally get relevant authorities' permissions. They might want plans as well.
Usually their conditions are that if they need to work on the easement you have to agree to dismantle whatever it is that you built.
