Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Oct 27, 2016 10:00 am Just wondering if the figure/value of the estimated cost that the builders submit to council on the development application (DA) is the same as the tender cost that the builders quote us the customer? Reason being that I've been snooping around the council DA pages for an estate I'm looking to build in and one particular builder quoted me a lot$$ more for a very similar size slope block and sized house. I'm aware that there may be different custom costs here and there however before I go back to the builder and question it, I'd like to know what the cost on the DA is supposed to include? Re: Estimated cost that builders submit to council on a DA 2Oct 30, 2016 11:58 am It's supposed to be the actual cost, but most of the time a lower amount is quoted to council to reduce the fees paid. Similar to what some people do for the RTA when they sell a car.
