I was not sure where to post this .. thought I would ask homeone members first before talking to a plumber.
For our hot water - we have a Rinnai Enviro 32 installed as part of or renovation extension we did 4 years ago. At the time we got 2 wired standard controllers. One is installed in ensuite and the other in main bathroom. (Both downstairs)
I wanted to get a controller for near the kitchen but my husband did not think we needed it - well after 4 years I would like one so that I can control the temp as I would like to get hotter water into the kitchen when I need it. Currently in the bathroom and ensuite the temp sits between 42 and 44.
We also have an upstairs bathroom that does not have a controller either (we delayed finishing upstairs to try and manage the cashflow) but are now completing the renovation now and I just realised we did not put a controller up there either.
Does anyone know how hard it is to retrofit a controller? Wired or Wireless? (I heard that there is a wireless kit that you can get)

I had a Rinnai 20 installed in our rental without any controllers as our plumber advised that if you install one of these units without a controller you will receive the maximum temperature allowed (50 degrees) at all times. ie controllers are there to turn the temperature down not up so you don't need to use your mixer, so will be fine for kitchen where you require maximum temperature at all times.
