Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Oct 07, 2016 4:02 pm Hi all, i habe a bit of a problem. We have just had a baby and the now babys room is the previously unused 3rd bedroom (near kitchen) opens into the dining area (we are not uaing it as a dining area though regardless there is little privacy and it is loud). I have attached our floorplan which i am hoping to get your advice on if we should extend the passage or moves a wall or 2 etc.. thanks all! http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o56 ... qrwmbq.png Re: Extend passage for privacy 2Oct 08, 2016 7:56 pm Would it be possible to just add sound insulation on that wall and use a solid door to reduce the noise? If you could remove the short dividing wall in the meals you'll gain more space that you lose making the hallway longer. Could you also block the doorway leading to the living room area from the meals for the same reason? Re: Extend passage for privacy 4Oct 09, 2016 3:24 pm Babies are only small for a very small period of time and usually the more noise they get used to the better they will sleep. If you can swap your baby into bedroom 2 and other children in bedroom 3 that makes more sense than extending corridors. You will loose space in a living zone which in turn will reduce value on your home, corridors are seen as wasted space in house design. Thats my 2 cents worth. Newbie question for flooring options. We are thinking of changing the flooring for bedrooms and passage area. Last time we looked at flooring options was almost 8years… 0 3483 ok thanks - yes was wondering if that should have been listed as Option Three! 2 7712 You should pressure clean your roof first and make sure the paint you buy also is anti mould. 4 17647 |
