Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Oct 07, 2016 10:31 am G'day all, I'm in the middle of my bathroom reno, and I've come across a hitch. The place I've chosen to install my new shower base has a joist running directly where the waste outlet is planned to go!!! The joists parallel to it are 120mm and 220mm either side of the joist concerned. Don't ask, the house was built in the 70's! If I install the shower base where I want it and cut part of the joist out will I need to add another joist? Any other words of wisdom or advice would be appreciated. Cheers, Cam. Depends on the look you want. Assuming you've modelled the TB8, TB10, TB12, TB2 & J1 joists/LVLs there, it appears as per drawing to me. They worked perfectly as we have bluestone in the area where we wanted to build so digging down was not… 8 9053 1 10119 |
