Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Sep 07, 2016 12:57 pm I have just been told that selecting a Colorbond roof has an optional upgrade through our builder to have an anticon blanket installed. I am wondering if this is essential and what are the pros and cons of having it installed? Thanks, [bex] Re: Anticon Blanket for Colorbond roof - is it required? 2Sep 07, 2016 10:11 pm Yes it is highly recommended. 1. More insulation, your house is cooler during summer and warmer during winter 2. Less prone to noise from wind and rain 3. Less prone to internal condensation There are no cons I can think of other than cost which should only be $1-2k at most. Re: Anticon Blanket for Colorbond roof - is it required? 5Sep 10, 2016 9:17 am It is not essential, but you'd be mad not to do it now. Doing it later will cost you an arm and a leg, as all the sheeting has to be removed to put the anticon blankets in place Owner Building at Jimboomba Woods in Logan City Qld.
