Does anyone have a price rough estimate for doing a wall unit - such as the example below (not exactly) -
My room is 6m long and would want the whole wall done with cupboards below and bookshelf / tv space above.
My guess is 5,000 as a rough start.

Go to a custom furniture shop and they will be able to make one. You can hang it yourself afterwards. I haven't though seen these in any display homes recently. Wall hang tv and use a long tv trolley ( low profile or high) Re: Cost of wall unit - joinery 3Jul 26, 2016 8:33 am 6m long and $5k? I'd say double that but that depends on a lot of things. The finish on the doors and panels, the complexity of the design, whether you want them to install it, any electrical work involved etc. Stewie Re: Cost of wall unit - joinery 4Jul 26, 2016 10:38 am I am hoping to have some units built and haven't got prices for them yet but with the example above I'd be having visions of all the extra dusting to be done! Sorry, that's just me. With three children I am always trying to reduce the amount of housework necessary. I have a wall in my media around 6m long and I am thinking a long slender cabinet across the wall with drawers in to keep all the clutter in and making the room look clutter free. I got a lot of custom oakwood furniture made for much less taken it had more wood involved. Only costly thing is the bottom drawers. You can get them to use pine on top or back to save money and hang it yourself. Get multiple quotes. And keep it simple. Re: Cost of wall unit - joinery 6Jul 28, 2016 12:59 pm I obtained a quote from a cabinetmaker of $3700.00 for a unit for our new house. It was basically two units - both floating - the bottom one was wider and higher and the top was same length but narrower. Quote included two pac paint. Not going to get it made - IKEA offer some good modular options which are good enough for me, and work out to about 1/3 of the price. You can basically put together a unit of your own needs. My blog: tashandpaul.wordpress.com Like pulse said, you can fit drawers however because of the placement of the sink there isn't much depth so you would have to have cut outs for the waste pipes. It all… 2 1300 I had an old shower unit that broke on me and when I took it off, there were only 2 water pipes, instead of the normal 2 water pipes and a shower head pipe.
