Hope you find your answer. All I can say is that we were suppose to have the glass on our balcony sandblasted in a horizontal strip. I still have no idea if its going ahead or not so I would be interested if anybody else is having this effect. Where are you having your sandblasted glass? Mrs B Re: Sandblasted glass - anyone got experience with it 4Jul 31, 2008 10:24 pm Ive had clear glass sandblasted several times inside a house

I dont like it at all personally but thats cos the last thingI was expecting was it for it look blueish Im wondering if thats normal sorry I have no way of taking photos Re: Sandblasted glass - anyone got experience with it 5Aug 01, 2008 7:23 pm ring up a few different glaziers and ask Re: Sandblasted glass - anyone got experience with it 6Aug 04, 2008 1:32 pm Alot of the time the glass is not sandblasted, but coated with a thin vinyl film to "reproduce" the sandblasted look. Re: Sandblasted glass - anyone got experience with it 10Aug 04, 2008 10:52 pm I personally wouldnt do it any other way, but thats my opinion
it feels the same, that fine "etched" feel, costwise: the vinyl is $20 per square meter (plus installation) I have no idea how much sandblasting costs. I installed mine myself, but I spent 2 yrs professionally installing the stuff in my younger years. to be honest I thought it was the way most glaziers did it nowdays? Why spend the mega bucks to sandblast when this is cleaner and much cheaper. The only reason I could think of not to use it is to prevent damage from scratching If so what were the "special circumstances" under which it was granted?
