Re: PAINTING OUR BEDROOM - ARE SPRAY GUNS GOOD & EASY TO USE 2May 29, 2016 8:27 am You get what you pay for with non-commercial spray guns. The cheap ones are usually so crappy they're not worth the time and money, the more expensive ones are great but not cost effective if you're only doing one room. They're worth it if there's a bit of ongoing work in and around the home. For one room, I'd paint with a roller. Re: PAINTING OUR BEDROOM - ARE SPRAY GUNS GOOD & EASY TO USE 3May 29, 2016 9:33 am Forget spraying. Brush or pad for cutting in, masking tape and a good quality roller will have it done in no time with a great finish. Painting is not hard, it is just the starting of the project that people avoid. Once you start it is easy and satisfying. Re: PAINTING OUR BEDROOM - ARE SPRAY GUNS GOOD & EASY TO USE 4May 29, 2016 9:58 am I just painted my whole 1950s rendered house inside and out (took 72 litres of paint). Used a roller on walls, ceilings, doors and ceilings and brushes to cut into corners, cornices, architraves and skirting. agree with Goody - very satisfying. One room will be a piece of cake! Re: PAINTING OUR BEDROOM - ARE SPRAY GUNS GOOD & EASY TO USE 7May 30, 2016 11:53 am I find roller good - and quick. Gun would be fun - but I reckon you'd need some practice - like a spray painter. Prep is the key IMO. 30-60 minutes at the start can save a hell of a lot of cleaning up. Re: PAINTING OUR BEDROOM - ARE SPRAY GUNS GOOD & EASY TO USE 8May 31, 2016 2:33 pm Don't waste your money. Just cut and roll it. Buy the blue Painters tape. Hubby is a Painter. I used standard (Bear brand) masking tape throughout my house with no problem (took it all off within few days). Tape is expensive now.
