Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 14, 2016 12:54 am Hello I have recently purchased a house in Perth and the floorboards are well overdue for a re-polish - they are looking dull in some areas and very faded in a couple of spots. There is also a number of smallish cracks in them in different areas of the house and so I have been trying to find a professional to do the job for me. Google search hasn't really provided me with any answers - and have scoured these forums but haven't had any luck. Would this be a job for a carpenter? If not, who exactly should I be searching for? Or even better if anyone could recommend me a person to do the job, or point me to a previous post within these forums it would be much appreciated. And I am not very handy with tools etc so wouldn't be able to do it myself. Many thanks for any help =) Re: Trying to find a professional to re-polish floorboards 2May 14, 2016 1:51 pm You should have this thread transferred to the Flooring & Floor Covering sub forum. You will also have a better chance of getting good advice in that sub forum plus it also helps others who later do a search. 3in1 Supadiverta. Sorry - bit of a forum newbie! Probably easiest to report your own post and ask for it to be transferred. Very few people read through all of the sub forums and having a topic in the correct sub forum gives you a much better chance of having it seen by the most appropriate persons to answer. Have you done a forum search? There would most likely have been others who have already asked the same question in another thread, just enter a search term like "floor polishing Perth" or "floor sanding Perth" in the search box at the top left hand corner. search.php?keywords=floor+sanding+Perth Alternatively, you could also look through the Flooring & Floor Covering sub forum's threads, there might be something there. There is also a facility called "Find professionals" above the search box, also worth looking there as well. The Whirlpool Forums would also be a good place to ask, a lot of people visit there. https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum/?action=search Good luck. 3in1 Supadiverta.
