August 12. DS birthday as well!! We bought the land in April '07. Settlement expected somewhere between November '07 and February '08. Well they were close! But that doesn't matter now because I have a settlement date!!!! Woooohooooo!!!!! Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Land! Land! Finally land!! 3Jul 30, 2008 10:54 am Bel, it sounds to me like there may well be a race in the making here.
Some type of wager regarding handover dates perhaps? Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Land! Land! Finally land!! 4Jul 30, 2008 10:56 am What date are you due to start?
We have only been given an estimate of November - our house is a double story 41 squares...what about you? Let the race begin! My karma ran over your dogma Re: Land! Land! Finally land!! 5Jul 30, 2008 11:05 am We haven't got a start date but tentatively late September? So that probably means November.
Modified 36 sq and modifications bring it up to 41sq. Single story though. Sloping block so I'm anticipating problems. We might both be in by next Christmas. Thats almost as long as Stonecutter has waited! Poor Stonecutter! Every time I feet like whingeing about our land I think of Stonecutter. Like the race idea - don't know if you saw but perry & bernadette and Mike & Marita (M&M) had a bit of a race, that both their SS's were aware of. They both built Cremornes, and were really neck and neck all the way through the build. They were vying for an "M&Ms" T shirt, and a "BP" stubby holder!!! Very amusing.....
We started waaay before both of you, but looks like we'll all finish around the same timee. Our contract date is Nov 20. We were hoping to finish early, but with all of the problems we've had, we're now just hoping to be done by then! New SS is still confident we can make it..... Fingers crossed!!!! Finally land!! 14Jul 30, 2008 8:06 pm my bet is with the single storey; sloping land aside. Sorry Bel .
Good luck to both of you. Re: Land! Land! Finally land!! 17Jul 31, 2008 12:03 pm petal We started waaay before both of you, but looks like we'll all finish around the same timee.
