Monument or Night Sky Roof : Surfmist Fascia : Surfmist Render : Sufrmist Contrast Render : Dune Windows Frames : Affinity Black Garage Door : Wood Look Daintree Natural Nullabour Entry : Corinthian INFSW8 Stained 1200mm wide door Re: Which gutter colour? 2Apr 28, 2016 3:41 pm Hi, I'm not 100% sure have night sky might tie in with your windows but would create a very defined gutter line, have you had a play on the colourbond site visualiser? http://colorbond.autech.com.au/onlinevi ... esidential Our Build Thread - JG king Memphis Re: Which gutter colour? 10Apr 28, 2016 10:34 pm I agree with Narrewarren01 - the gutter shouldn't be the highlight. I'd stick with surfmist gutters. [sneakersss] Re: Which gutter colour? 11Apr 28, 2016 10:44 pm Your house, you will see it every day, create the look you want and will enjoy. If you want a dark gutter, out of the two choices, either. They'll both pretty much look black on the gutter against the surfmist fascia and roof. Re: Which gutter colour? 12Apr 29, 2016 3:19 am Yeah all surfmist - works well Having the gutter and fascia a slightly different colour also works well. Can't go wrong with any option Re: Which gutter colour? 13Apr 29, 2016 1:27 pm As Frye says, there won't be much between them when set amongst white. Monument won't show the dirt quite so much, but night sky may be a better match to the windows to avoid the risk of having more colours on the facade. I don't generally like the gutter and facia to be the same colour, because it makes the roof look fat. My preference is to have the gutter match the roof and then have a mild contrast in the facia. Having a contrasting gutter against a matching facia and roof gives a line-oriented appearance which can look good, but I think it takes a bit more care to get right, and to still look good for the life of the house. With the strong white-black-white contrast, you'd also need to maintain that strong contrast through the rest of the facade, which the dark windows and doors against the white should be able to do. Re: Which gutter colour? 17Apr 30, 2016 2:01 am The pictures you posted are very contemporary elevations with contemporary colours - so I think the contrasting gutter looks good in this situation. On my house, I went all Surfmist as it is a face brick house and I was going for a classic look. At the end of the day it is your choice.. Blacks, whites anything neutral are generally safe bets..
