Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Apr 18, 2016 2:55 pm Hi everyone, I need advice, and with any luck, reassurance that all will be ok. We get new laminate flooring tomorrow so have moved everything out of the rooms being covered. The laminate is going over the original linoleum as I have no idea how old it is (house is 36 years) so I suspect contains asbestos. In an effort to get all the maintenance required in one of the rooms done before the floors go down, hubby's rushed and cut two gashes, one quite large, in the lino exposing the underflooring. He left it as is to finish off other things, and I discovered it today, approx 48 hours later, as I was away with my 8 month old for the weekend. I've since covered the holes with masking tape as I can see whitish fibres within the largest gash (about 5c piece size). Is there anything more substantial I can do safely to cover them up before the new flooring goes down? Are we at a real risk of getting rather sick from this kind of exposure even though presumably quite minor? Thanks for reading got it. thanks. I was looking for word ' Adobe' and added filter. all good. 12 14395 can’t tell from the photo, a tie down rod will be 12mm, is it a steel beam? he should be able to work it out 1 4444 Thanks for your advice.
