For example, if you have a slope and work with the slope instead of against it the site costs should be minimal. We are on a massive slope (our blocks drops 9m over 49m from front to back) and our site costs were just under $6000 because with our design there were very minimal cuts and no retaining walls required for the house. We did have to put a retaining wall for the driveway and gardens though (about $20k all up) but it still worked out much cheaper than what other builders quoted for other house designs. We received site cost quotes anywhere from $20k to $100k!
