Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Mar 22, 2016 5:18 pm Hi All, My partner and I have purchased our land late last year. It is located in Melbourne Western Suburbs, with a total of 540m2, 27Lx20W with a 2.7M retaining wall. We have done research and gone to heaps of display homes but have been unsuccessful. First we fell in love with Latitude38, which was to die for, however we soon found out that they do not build in our area. We then saw hope with Arden Homes - Bespoke range, however have recently been knocked back due to our fall. We have searched high and low, and gone through many threads to see what else people have been dealing with or who they have used, but can't seem to find something that feels like home... So we are finally reaching out to you, hoping to receive any feedback, recommendations or if you are in the process of building on a slope? We would love to hear about it. Thanks Linda Nguyen Re: HELP! Slope block land in Melb West. Can't find a builde 2Mar 22, 2016 5:49 pm We built on a sloping block so I understand the frustration in finding a builder. I can't recommend our builder as he has gone out of business. I wouldn't recommend him anyway! Your best bet is to google builders for sloping blocks. Some names I know from the top of my head are Glenvill, Destination Living, Sarac and LP Wareen Homes. I don't know which build in what areas of Melbourne. Hi Beetaloo, We have a few houses under construction in our area as our land is 3rd release. But it seems like only our new release is really really steep OR people havent started building yet. Just an empty block of land, guess we're not the only ones with this issue.. I will however going exploring this weekend, thanks Re: HELP! Slope block land in Melb West. Warren - years of experience in sloping blocks (one of my friends worked for them years ago, and he got them to build his house which he was very happy with). I think Rycon may also specialise in sloping blocks. Need advice on the backyard plan above. Should I excavate and cut all of the dirt to level with the house slab or semi-excavate as per photo above? Both left and right… 0 24829 Hi All, We have recently purchased a sloping block (3.5m fall building envelope, 6m overall). Just wondering if you know of any good builders that you would recommend for… 0 1738 A survey must’ve completed by a certified surveyor. This form part of every DA requirement 3 223465 |
