I have a rock retainer wall that has blocks flaking on the face of it, see it here: http://i.imgur.com/Fcvl3kT.jpg?1
From the photo you can clearly see the section that is ready to come off. You can't see that the cracking on the other side of the block that's not as bad, but you could easily pull it off.
So, I'm not sure what to do about it. Do I call in a professional, fill the gaps with concrete or something else?
The wall's about 40 metres long, about half the length is two block high and the rest is three blocks high. There doesn't seem to be any signs of wall moving, a few more blocks have flaky pieces but not as bad as this one.
We bought the house about 6 months ago, it's 15 years old and I assume the rock wall has been there the whole time.
