Hi everybody,
I wasn't really sure whether to put this in windows and doors, decorating or heating and cooling as it is all of the above! General discussion will have to do!
Our house will have a horse trail at the back of the block. The back of the block is 33 metres from the end of the house. One side of the block has a six metre wide easement/horse trail adjoining it, then a block on the other side of that. The other side of the block, downhill, are our only real neighbours. From what I understand, their bedrooms will be on the side that adjoins us. Our living areas face them and to the rear.
Privacy isn't really an issue for us concerning window coverings. The bedrooms will have coverings for light blocking reasons.
Do we need window coverings anywhere else? We are having double glazing. Is this fully effective on it's own, or does it benefit from window coverings?
I don't mind the feeling of being open and being seen by the roos. I like the idea of being able to see the light change, and the animals, etc. Is this weird? Apart from privacy, decoration and heating is there any other reason to have window coverings?
Just looking for practical considerations and people's general opinion on this.
Jo
