Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 02, 2016 10:16 am I've just downloaded Sweet Home 3D and at first glance it looks like it just does interiors. Is that right? Is the idea that I can just see how each room will work, rather than my house as a whole (on the block etc)? Thanks Re: Sweet Home 3D - quick question 2Jan 17, 2016 8:45 am No, you can do your whole house plan and then in 3D view, you can view it from outside, showing the external walls. You can use the different textures to show different types of walls (eg Brick, Cladding etc). My plan shows our pool in the backyard. Re: Sweet Home 3D - quick question 3Jan 17, 2016 1:41 pm hi lazandjohn, I used it extensively to model my two storey house. The ground floor has a split level so I needed to take that into account with heights of walls. When doing external walls set the width of wall to equal the width of double brick as it is faster to draw. You can also set wall colours to the colour of your render using the RGB numbers. The only thing it does not do is the roof. I found it very usual for working out space requirements as you can put furniture in to actual scale to visualise. I actually drew my house plan out and geve the file to my builder to tweak further. Ping me a pm if you want to know more. Cheers Mark 1. Roof cleaning and paint - which colour do you recommend?
