I also suggest if you have those roll over gutters i.e. the ones that are sloping that you can drive over, that you see if you can get permission from the council to cut them out and replace with a flatter gutter cross over. It allows you to turn in to and out of your driveway quicker, which can be very handy if you are on a busy street, or perhaps have a trailer or similar. I know that's the plan here for when we do the front part of our driveway. I currently short cut the front by attacking the roll over gutters at a 45 degree angle so that I can keep my momentum up to get up the steep driveway, particulary when I have the trailer attached.
