Why post this question three times ? The moderators will get upset if you do that. Stewie Re: Polycourse Ant Capping 3Dec 22, 2015 8:07 am I was surprised when it was posted four times. The internet was slow and I must have pressed the button four times as I only posted the once but kept on pressing the button. My internet is so slow. Sorry all. Re: Polycourse Ant Capping 4Dec 22, 2015 9:56 am A photo of the stuff you are talking about would help too. Here's a pretty standard roll of poly DPC... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DPC-POLYTHEN ... 1563048587 As opposed to proper galvanised ant capping - continuous for walls and caps for brick piers ( which should be placed on top of the DPC ) Stewie Re: Polycourse Ant Capping 6Dec 22, 2015 10:46 am Here is the link http://www.cagroup.com.au/Polycourse.asp, thank you. Re: Polycourse Ant Capping 8Dec 22, 2015 11:05 am It's similar to Alcor - another flashing/DPC material. You will also notice on that link that it says it is used as a damp proof course - not as a termite barrier. Termites would probably chew through it although like the gal ant capping I mention above , they would prefer to build a mud tunnel around it rather than try and go through it. Stewie We have a Victorian style ripple iron fence out the front that has some moulded timber capping. Probably 15+ years old and has cracked and splintered in parts...not really… 0 2630 No. The same paint that they paint the wall with will be fine. The builder probably had every intention to paint it and not leave it black. 7 3124 details like this are not shown on the elevation, talk the builder if you can’t live with it, expect to pay for the alteration though. 1 676 |
