Many of our problems could have been avoided if this had been the case. Re: New dispute resolution system in Victoria 4Dec 23, 2015 10:32 pm Timely post Liliana, Maybe some things are resolved in the new Building Legislation Amendment (Consumer Protection) Bill 2015, but I didn't see any definition of specification for the Domestic Building Contracts Act to force the inclusion of workmanship causes, or the definition of defect for fairer disputes, which would have been very useful for the fairness of opinions of the Government / Authority appointed Chief Resolution Officer and his/her appointed Resolution Officers, Conciliators, Assessors, the Director and the Victorian Building Authority themselves.
