Woodlea Estate Rockbank With Carlise Homes

Hey Everyone

Just wondering if any one had any information on this Estate, Came across this place while looking at Infinity.

Anyone else bought land in Woodlea,

We are looking at building the Carlise Homes Granada 41. Anyone else built this home or with Carlise

Hi! I know a few people who've bought in Woodlea. Near a freeway entrance/exit and they're building a train station there so looks good. I believe they also have schools etc on the plan.

With the closest supermarket being Caroline Springs square or somewhere in Melton - 10-15min drive for a supermarket might be something to consider. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a whole lot going for it for several years to come. There's literally nothing there. Infinity would be more pricey but at least it's in an established area. Take Rockbank for example - the newest addition they've got in the last few years is a BP service centre with Maccas and the likes. The area will improve, but not for many many years to come. Don't be fooled by the sales office and playground. Do pickup a decent sized block for the right $$$.

Thanks for the Replies, Decided against infinity, And applied for Woodlea. Now the hard part finding the houses. Weve seen a few but we want to make changes other builders seem to have other floorplans on the same house but carlise dont. Has anyone dealt with Carlise and changed floor plans. Looking at Monaco 40 and Granada 41, Thanks

Why did u go wz Carlisle ? Are they good ? I have got block in Woodlea as well but I am shopping around now , still thinking which builder
What do u think about Simonds ?

I am building in Woodlea with Bentley Homes, they have been great so far. Awesome customer service and am really happy with what they have offered for the price.

Carlisle home Fixed Site cost in Woodlea is too high, i have got quote from couple builders and there fixed site cost site around 15K, however Carlisle fixed site cost is 29K, There inclusion is amazing but there base price is high as well .

Building with Fairhaven homes, single story 225 sequre house on a corner lot. Fixed site costs were 17K

Yes average site cost in woodlea is between 14k to 17 K , However the Slab type will be used is H slab which will be some extra cost as well

IT will be on later stage when you soil report comes.

i have done calculation between builder with same inclusion find Henley homes reliable price Builder. Please note when you go color appointment you have to spend 20k upgrades to look you house beautiful.

Example upgrade

floor
carpet + Underlay
bricks
white paving
tile upgrade in wet area
kitchen stuff
Front Door.

anything upgrade in color selection is highly chargeable.

I would suggest those building at woodlea take their soil report to sn independant engineer for review. I have purchased a block of land at woodlea and we need to build the single story house we want on 68 piers using a conventional slab.
We obtaimed the compaction report from woodlea and the engineer advised that the fill on the land is not compact enough hence why we need to build using piers.

We have 1 meter of fill on our block.

Those building on waffle slabs with volume builders need to be very careful!

Woodlea will give the front landscaping to first 1000 homes built. They got info regarding it on their website

Yes ! that true which will save you money in future and research for land scrapping. However woodlea is project of Mirvac which has wonderful image in building industry ...

Hi everyone,

Nice to see some neighbours in this forum.
We're on Stage 14 with titling expected to be in Feb 2017. We signed up with Carlisle Homes and our fixed site cost is almost 34K. I guess this is the reason why a few are building with them :-(

but we really like their home design and the big bonus sale so we went for them. We also liked Henley's display homes but we're just scared of their low customer rating in productreview.com. au.

Congrats Phoenix! We're building with Mainvue and while our site costs are less than yours, we weren't offered a big bonus deal. I think its all swings and roundabouts and the important thing is that you're happy with the design. We really liked Carlisle designs too but liked Mainvue ones just that little bit more and with the upgrades we wanted, the costs between both builders looked roughly the same.

Hi strawbola, which stage are you? I think Mainvue is also part of Henley. I guess your right with the cost, they just give with one hand and take away from the other :-)

We're in stage 14, should be just close by to stage 10 :-)

We're building Amberley 27, the same one on display at Woodlea but we'll use a different facade. When do you start building? Exciting times ahead for both of us.
