Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Oct 21, 2015 2:45 pm Hello guys, Might seem like a dumb question but me and my partner are moving to our home in Mernda (Berry lane estate) in december and noticed that the address is not yet on google maps. Just clarifying, will we still be able to get mail/post? Thanks! Re: New estate (not on google maps) Mail/Post question 5Oct 28, 2015 6:50 pm Not necessarily, my house is in a new area and Australia Post refuse to deliver to it whilst houses are still being built in the area, siting OH&S for their posties. It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. Hey! Yea thats just not fair of the post to do that... What do you do in that case? What address do you put down then? Do you have to go down to the post office every time? Re: New estate (not on google maps) Mail/Post question 7Oct 29, 2015 7:08 pm Contact Auspost and let them know that it is now a residential street and that people want their mail delivered. People in the newer part of Jimboomba Woods estate have recently been through all of this and are now getting things sorted out. I'd also recommended getting in touch with the developer of your estate to advise Auspost that your area now has people living in it, and require postal deliveries. New estate (not on google maps) Mail/Post question 9Oct 30, 2015 4:41 pm Berry Lane has had people living in it for a while, so it should have a delivery. If there is no postal delivery yet then they will just deliver your mail to the post office in Mernda and you pick it up there. When we first moved to Doreen they wouldn't deliver until we had more people in our estate so we just picked it up from the post office every few days. Oh and it took a good 12 months to make it onto google and about 2 years to have the right street name listed 2nd build here we come in Whittlesea! https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=92617 1st Build - Henley - Cooper in Doreen! Well the people in Jimboomba Woods were getting their mail 'returned to sender' by Auspost ! None of this held at post office. One of the people on the group got on to Auspost and it appears all is now sorted. Owner Building at Jimboomba Woods in Logan City Qld.
