Opinions please and yes they aren't the best drawings just modified in paint. Then the options you present are to have the wall protrude above the roof, or to be thinner, and sit under the eaves. Then for three different brick/render options. I'm not really a fan of the front-chimney look on houses, but I guess it's mainly a way to make the front look a bit fancier without pushing the front wall behind the setback. Would you be putting a storage cupboard inside it? If so, the extra depth of the chimney version would give more room. My feeling is the same as d@n, with #4, then #2, though in these cases preferably the "blade" wall would line up with the front edge of the corner post. #6 could work well with the right brick and colours, and you always have the option of later rendering the posts if it doesn't come up so well. However, I do have a bias towards form-follows-function and prefer brick over render for a wall cladding material, so it's mainly my bias showing. Also have a think about where the downpipes will go. Pushing the wall up through the roof will split the gutter, and may restrict the choices a bit. Re: Facade design Opinions please 4Sep 13, 2015 9:07 pm Yes you are right John. The blade sticks out above the roof line but also is wider then the eaves. the reduced blade will sit under the eave line and effectively be even with the fascia board. Thanks guys. Yes John, that is the base of our facade and correct out house is wider then the pre-made one. With the blade design there is a downpipe on the side corner post and on the left side of the garage door(can be seen in the render pictures). We prefer brick over render/cladding as well, just not sure if it is a bit plain or not and I think bricks age better too. The blade is an add on to the house and is brick after they brick the front. I hadn't thought about using it for storage. So it has no real function. I think we are leaning to either 3 or 4. Tried to play with the facade models but the exact colour is not matching up. 2 3275 Dear Members I have to decide the Facade column size.
