Browse Forums General Discussion Re: Having problems picking colours for exterior 8Sep 12, 2015 1:16 pm oneJohn I'd say that rendered picture is representing something close to you colours, ie Jasper render with dune roof, and the garage door surfmist. In terms of differences, things to watch are that the lighting is quite contrived to make it look good rather than accurate. It's not that often that you look at a house at dusk with 15 different lights shining on the facade, with the curtains open and all the lights on inside. But that's how a lot of promotional images are done. So here the windows and lights are giving the lightening effect against the jasper. In terms of your question earlier about the wood, you need to also consider the gable end of the rear roof section. The 3d render suggests it's the same material as the top of the portico. You'll want it to be a long-lasting and low maintenance material though, so it probably won't be a timber look. Thanks again oneJohn! You've got some great points. I am going to get a visualisation done. I think it's the only way for me as I'm just struggling to picture it all. traditional gable roof facade - Have you did the dark and light gray color combination in facade with gray stone in facade… 0 4211 Hi all, I am currently building through Simmonds and stuck deciding on my exterior cement roof titles and brick colours.
