Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 01, 2015 10:14 am I see many people adding these Light / Exhaust / Heat Lights to their existing homes and I have never heard of them upgrading to extra safety switches for them. Is this something that is just standard in a new build though? I included 2 of these in my Electrical Appointment and the cost me a extra $700 for both as they both have a extra safety switch for both. Is this needed? I know it's better to be "Safe" but is that being a overkill just to charge extra $$$$ ??? Re: Extra Safety Switch for Exhaust Heat Light 2Aug 01, 2015 1:07 pm I am no electrician but maybe the addition of those units required an additional circuit needed to be added to your build as there a regulation size wattage limits on each of our house circuits. I know adding extra powerpoints and extra electrical items added over $2,000 for us at Gallery. We have never had one but thought it might be worthwhile installing them for our own house. Might have to rethink that Cheers, Paul (& Lisa) Parkhill 36 by ClarendonHomes in Coomera Retreat H1 Build Thread And Blog Building Blogs List - Go Ahead And Add Yours!!
