Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jul 16, 2015 12:47 pm Hey guys, Just wanted to ask a quick question regarding the best application for staircases with carpet on them? Bullnose vs square treads? I was thinking to square it off so that if I wanted to in the future install wood/laminate to the stairs, it would be easier. Is there any cons to have squared off treads and carpet for the time being? Cheers! There's more room to get your foot on the tread. Re: Staircase query - Bullnose vs square treads for carpet? 3Jul 16, 2015 1:51 pm Cheers John... Would anyone have pics of their stair case with carpet? Possibly with a bullnose or square tread? Re: Staircase query - Bullnose vs square treads for carpet? 4Jul 16, 2015 4:59 pm Is it easy to go from bullnose to flat later? I'm guessing not - but worth asking. i'll post pics of mybullnose stairs with carpet when i'm home Re: Staircase query - Bullnose vs square treads for carpet? 5Jul 16, 2015 5:50 pm Apparently not so easy to go from bullnose to square. A mate of mine had to do it and he said it was a hassle, but doable. Staircases and sausages. Should thou wish to keep thy palate sweet for sausages, avert thine eyes from their crafting. 14 4551 Not sure if that works? I was told the issue is the headspace clearance requirement on step 4. My builder is proposing shifting the beam 310mm towards the kitchen...I'm… 2 2502 No idea about the driveway question, but your price for a house that size including landscaping seems very good! 1 6155 |
